Rooster Rojo Mezcal is handcrafted by Lopes Sosa Palenque, a small craft distillery in San Juan del Rio of Oaxaca in Mexico. Each bottle is signed by the Maestro Mezcalero, Rodolfo Lopez Juan, which confirms he has followed the correct production process. The dark bottle prevents the liquid from being affected by direct sunlight and ensures it's not visible to the "bad eye" before consumption - a traditional Oaxacan belief.

This is not your sugar bomb infused with artificial flavors - this is like roasting a wheel of red Spanish pineapple on your charcoal grill in the summer and infusing it into a barrel of Anejo tequila. Aged for at least 12 months in ex-bourbon barrels, there are notes of tropical fruit, pineapple and smoke.

Rooster Rojo Ahumado Reposado is made from hand selected 100% Blue Webber Agave and is crafted according to traditional smoked tequila technology using an artisanal underground oven. This tequila has rich notes of smoked wood and leather, leading into a pleasant sensation of sweet roasted agave and spices.
